Our Hourly Rates
This is the normal way a solicitor charges.
Our basic charges for the legal work we do are based on the rates we charge for each hour according to the complexity of your case, whether it requires specialist knowledge or expertise and the urgency with which it needs to be dealt with.
From the outset we will agree our hourly rates with you, and we will provide you with the overall likely cost of your case. We will keep you updated regularly on our costs as your case progresses.
Our normal hourly rates are:

| 1 Solicitors with over eight years post qualification experience including at least eight years litigation experience | £255.00 |
| 2 Solicitors and legal executives with over four years post qualification experience including at least four years litigation experience | £218.00 |
| 3 Other solicitors and legal executives and fee earners of equivalent experience | £177.00 |
| 4 Trainee solicitors, paralegals and other fee earners | £126.00 |
Standard letters, emails and telephone calls are charged at 1/10th of the hourly rate. Other letters, emails and telephone calls are charged out on a time recorded basis.
These hourly rates may be higher if the matter is very complex, if it needs to be dealt with urgently or if it requires specialist knowledge or expertise.
At Richards Thomas, we aim to give the best possible value for money, although we will always spend the time necessary to deal properly with your case.
